Responsible for accurately entering patient information into the EMR in preparation of clinic visits.
Also, schedules patient appointments and outpatient testing, Runs physician clinics and obtains
vital signs on patients. Obtains insurance authorization for clinic visits and testing . Receives
consult calls and distrIbutes them accordingly. Heavy phone responsibility. Types 30 - 35 wpm.
May be called upon to orient or offer assistance to new team members per Lead''s direction. When
required and appropriate, will be assigned to charge responsibilities.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND TRAINING:
1. High school diploma
2. Proficiency with EMR.
3. Familiarity with ICD-9 codes, HMO/PPO insurances, and Medical Terminology preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
