Job Details:
Maintenance of clinic charts in preparation of clinic visit. Heavy phone responsibility; obtain
insurance authorization and/or referral, including benefit information for clinic visits and testing.
Good typing skills are a must. Accounting functions include performing checkout procedures,
balancing charges and payments, and may be asked to handle patient account inquires.
May be required to orient/train new employees in any or all aspects of job responsibilities
High school graduate. Knowledge of ICD-9/CPT codes, HMO/PPO insurance and medical
terminology preferred. Computer skills required. Must have knowledge of Windows based
environment. Requires interaction with patients and physicians in a professional manner.
Requires ability to use copiers and fax machines. Requires ability to use filing systems.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
