The Compliance Specialist assists in the preparation of corporate authorization and insurance licensing applications and renewals, corporate governance filings and paperwork.
Supports document preparation and due diligence for regulatory responses, and coordinates regulatory requests and requirements by carriers and insurance regulatory agencies.
Responsibilities Coordinate special compliance projects with compliance team and all office locations.
Prepare and process corporate authorization submissions and renewals for the company.
Assist in preparing and processing legal entity formations and dissolutions, applications for authority and state annual reports as required nationwide.
Prepare, assemble, update and submit, under the direction of the Compliance Officer, applications for certificates of authority to transact business in specific states.
Coordinates applications and renewals for adjuster, producers, and TPA licenses subject to insurance regulations.
Prepare annual due diligence materials required by insurance carriers.
Review, handle and prepare statutory requirements at the direction of Compliance Officer.
Assist with response to Department of Insurance (DOI) inquiries, complaints, examinations and specific requirements.
Research insurance laws and regulations to assist Compliance Officer in determining their impact on licensing, in state requirements, adjusting practices and required administrative procedures.
Assist in researching and monitoring developments and trends in the insurance regulatory environment.
Coordinate and update state statutes related to insurance licensing, and maintain reference material.
Reviews all bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reports required by carriers.
Reviews and handles all EDI requests by carriers and state agencies.
Prepare and process reports dealing with OFAC, Medicare, SCHIP, Total Loss of Vehicles, ISO Indexing, FIRE Program California Re-inspection and National Arbitration Reports.
Coordinate, support and assist with Continuing Education throughout all CCMSI offices.
Monitor and assists in reviewing weekly AR reports from FIRE Program in order to properly reconcile payments or follow up for payments due.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Computer Skills Proficient with Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations None required.
Other Physical Demands Work requires the ability to sit or stand up to 7.
5 or more hours at a time.
Work requires sufficient auditory and visual acuity to interact with others.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
