Manager, User Interface Designer

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society mobilizes people and resources to drive research for a cure and to address the challenges of everyone affected by MSTo fulfill this mission, the Society funds cutting-edge research, drives change through advocacy, facilitates professional education, collaborates with MS organizations around the world, and provides programs and services designed to help people with MS and their families move their lives forwardWe partner with volunteers to accomplish our workStaff members engage volunteers through effective and timely communications, facilitating meaningful opportunities, and continually seeking and providing feedback for reciprocal growth and learningEs sential Functions Design constituent-centric, aesthetically and visually pleasing experiences across multiple channels including websites, apps and email 50% Design experiences to support user journeys and constituent jobs-to-be-done Create effective interactive designs that align with the Society's accessibility requirements and design standards while applying brand guidelines Design interactive touchpoints such as content, buttons, scroll bars, icons, sliders, and screens leveraging design system Use design elements such as color palettes, typography, iconography, imagery, layout, interactivity, patterns, and spacing to guide user behavior Create responsive designs and optimize digital products based on constituent and organizational needs, research and data insights, and design best practices Iterate designs from initial concepts through pixel perfect handoffs to the web development team Other duties as assigned Build out and implement the design system across the Society's ecosystem of digital properties 25% Partner with User Experience Design and Research (UX) team to design new components, patterns and visual elements including iconography and typography for the Society's design system that support each uniquely branded digital property but maintain an overall organizational consistency and language so that users visually understand they are on a Society property Partner with UX team to maintain design system libraries by managing the governance, updates and archival Partner with UX team to ensure clearly defined standards, guidelines and functional annotations are included as part of the design system libraries Translate user and organizational needs into simple component design solutions Co llaborate with interdepartmental and cross functional teams to design digital products that meet both user and organizational needs 25% Partner with stakeholders in the marketing department from user experience, constituent experience, content strategy, brand, analytics, and web production teams, as appropriate, to:
Understand and incorporate user journeys and constituent jobs-to-be-done Collect and evaluate user requirements Understand and incorporate user research insights and marketing analytics Understand and incorporate existing brand guidelines Bring wireframes to life by designing UI mockups and prototypes Design new experiences as well as make updates and revisions to existing ones Partner with web developers and product leads in the technology department, as appropriate, to:
Define and implement creative solutions Understand and incorporate existing technology constraints while advocating for improvements to the experience Ensure WCAG AA compliance and inclusive digital experiences Communicate design and component direction and requirements Define processes and systems Present designs and ideas to functional stakeholders and gather, process, and incorporate feedback and direction Minimum Role Requirements Role Qualifications Formal training in User Interface (UI) and visual design 5

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
