Senior Network Administrator

Position Purpose
To administer and oversee network/server design, implementation, documentation and troubleshooting.
To administer and oversee data backup/restore design, implementation, documentation and troubleshooting.
To develop and maintain business continuity/disaster recovery for network, servers and data.
Coordinate with vendors to implement, upgrade and maintain systems.
Network projects
o Coordinates IT involvement in network projects
o Documents projects, and audits the progress of network projects
Support and Installation
o Works with Network Manager to ensure that network hardware and software needs are met within the organization
o Installs network software and related patches, and hardware
o Maintains servers, resolves problems, and update and or review all IT related IT items. The main areas are:

Server disc utilization

Server backups

Server virus updates

Server downtime

Service contracts

Network hardware inventory

Network Security

Network/Server Business continuity
o Works closely with all departments to ensure all LAN needs are met
o Oversees day-to-day network support, to ensure network printing, and software applications work properly with the network
o Provides training to users on how to use network
o Troubleshoots for remote users
o Performs technical support for both network and data communications
o Creates and maintains hardware, software and data communications inventory logs and IT documentation
o Ensure that the latest virus programs and DAT file are loaded on all servers
o Resolves help desk issues for the Network Technician
o Creation and maintenance of related documentation as it relates to networking
o Troubleshooting of network software
o Researches, recommends, and implements the acquisition of network hardware and software to provide effective, reliable, and dependable solutions to the organization.
o Stays current with industry trends to keep the company at the forefront of hardware.
o Resolves issues of network and server hardware problems with PI-IN departments and vendors

Maintains, troubleshoot and repair servers and networks
o Maintains Network Administrator training manual
o Backups IT department as needed
o Assists IT management in developing the IT budget
o Performs other duties as assigned

Expe rience/Education

Required:
Intermediate knowledge of various hardware platforms
Intermediate knowledge of network operating systems
Intermediate knowledge of computer basics
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Server and Novell E-Directory
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
Intermediate knowledge of network security
Intermediate knowledge of remote networking
Preferred:
Advanced knowledge of office applications
Advanced knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
Managed care experience
Computer Science or Technical degree in Information Technology
Have 4 to 6 years IT networking experience

Physical Demands/Working Conditions
To move workstations, servers, monitors, battery backups, must be able to pick up 100 lbsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
