The Staff Writer is responsible for writing effective and appropriate communications materials in support of company goals and objectives.
Write copy for member and provider communications including correspondence, training manuals, educational pieces and related projects.
Write employee communications for distribution via email, Intranet posting (Water Cooler) and company newsletter.
Conduct outside research and related interviews; survey staff for content, circulate documents for internal review and proof/edit materials.
Review projects developed within Communications department to ensure compliance with departmental guidelines and CMS guidelines.
Assist with development of copy for marketing brochures, product sheets, benefit grids, scripts, presentations, posters, flyers, announcements and other product materials.
Maintain all written materials in hard copy files and electronically in company database.
Assist Communications Manager, Director of Communications and Assistant Vice President of Communications as needed with writing projects.

/Experience/Education/
Bachelor's degree in journalism, business, communications or a related field preferred
Minimum of three years work experience in a communications writing capacity desired
Photography experience helpful
/Physical Demands/Working Conditions/
Possible business travel for seminars, training and/or meetingsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
