Plant Manager Lubricant Blending and Packaging

The Plant Manager Lubricant Blending and Packaging is directly responsible for the management of a blending and packaging facility and product distribution. Works directly with other functional groups inKleen Performace Products (KPP) to ensure that plant operations in the areas of safety, environmental compliance, quality and productivity are managed on a daily basis. Based on knowledge of plant operational procedures and KPP business practices, the plant manager is the main driver of continuous improvement at the manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities of the Plant Manager:
Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and regulatory requirements and acting in a safe manner at all times.
Ensures all Environmental Compliance requirements are met including, but not limited to Air Permits, SPCC, SWPPP, FRP, and Waste Management.
Maintains a high standard of housekeeping at all times.
Ensures customer satisfaction by maintaining the target OTIF for outbound shipments
Understands and executes the blending and packaging manufacturing strategy supporting the KPP business strategy, while developing and executing the capital plans.
Understands the ISO 9000 Quality Standard and ensures that all aspects of the standard are addressed and met within the site Quality Management System.
Provides hands on leadership and management of the blending and packaging operations, while optimizing production costs and maintaining product quality.
Monitors manufacturing progress against targets and objectives and provides summary reports of project status, key performance indicators and operations status.
Responsible for inventory management at warehouse and distribution location(s) that are directly associated with the manufacturing site.
Develops continual improvement plans and uses PDCA to determine if objectives were met.
Able to conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Works with Product Management, Purchasing, Technical, Quality, Sales and Marketing to commercialize new products.
Delivers best-in-class operational performance through standardization, continuous improvement, and sharing of best practices.
Builds and leads a strong team with high intensity and motivation.
Trains, motivates, and develops plant personnel to achieve high moral and efficient use of human resources
Conducts appropriate annual and semi-annual performance evaluations.
Serves as a team member on the KPP Blending and Packaging Leadership Team along with other KPP Plant Managers.
Requirements for the Plant Manager position:
Demonstrated commitment and leadership in the area of safety

years' experience in blending and packaging operations
5
years' experience in plant management and supervision
Bachelor's degree in Engineering
Working knowledge of ISO 9000:2008 Standard
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience in using ERP software
Demonstrated knowledge of and passion for continual improvement
Familiarity with all regulatory requirements associated with handling oil and/or chemicals
MBA and/or experience in Sales, Product Management or Business Management a plus
